As part of a rebranding and promotional package provided for Ardene House, Mearns & Gill recently designed and created a new website for the veterinary practice.

Designers worked closely with practice manager Linda Forsyth, to create a content rich professional web presence. The site was approached with the mindset that "content was king". 11.10.06 Congratulations to our client TOTAL E&P UK PLC

At a glittering Awards Ceremony in Edinburgh last night,TOTAL was winner in the category of Arts & Brand Identity at the prestigious Arts & Business Scottish Awards 2006. Six other finalists with highly innovative projects in this category provided stiff competition. This Award celebratesthe company’s support of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra - following the arrival of French Music Director Stephane Deneve, TOTAL and the RSNO launched 'The TOTAL Deneve Series'. Apart from the series of concerts throughout Scotland, the partnership has been developed to include recitals for staff, including the first ever on an oil platform.

Through the delivery of a range of promotional material, Mearns & Gill was delighted to have been
associated with this project and Alan Mearns & Charlie Sim
were guests at the victorious TOTAL table!

10.10.06 Evoilution Exhibition short listed for Awards

At the Arts and Business Annual Awards held in
Edinburgh on 11th October, the ‘Evoilution’ exhibition designed, produced and installed in Aberdeen Maritime Museum by Mearns & Gill last year won a Commendation in the ‘Arts Engagement by a small business’ category.

The M&G conceived Exhibition has also been shortlisted as finalists for the World Oil Awards for their ‘Outreach Award’ later in the year.

09.10.06 New Graphic Designer joins M&G team
We’re delighted to welcome Emma Donaldson to the creative team. Emma has nearly nine years experience, the last four of which have been in an agency environment working for a range of well known clients.

28.09.06 Mearns & Gill Animates the Northern Star
Business Awards.

As part of the design consultancy package provided
for the Northern Star Business Awards, M&G created and produced a series of animated sequences
and motion graphic idents.

Animations were played on the night of the event marking both the opening of the ceremony and punctuating each prize and associated sponsor.
Each sting was produced in-house, using
a combination of 3d Animation and video
compositing software.

28.09.06  Sonsub website "goes live"!

Mearns & Gill's Digital Media Team has had an excellent few months, with a number of significant contracts secured. One of these was Sonsub. A leading provider of remote subsea systems technology to the offshore oil and gas industry, specialising in innovative engineering, construction and maintenance services.

The project involved working closely with the director and project managers at Sonsub.
