The packaging for the box and the bottle label focussed on the distillery itself, the surrounding scenery and the cost of purchase. We augmented this with a printed insert to sit inside the box. One side contains the story of the whisky and the other side, a replication of the receipt with the distillery purchase highlighted.
Mearns & Gill got to know Glenfarclas in the late 1980s and have enjoyed a long association which has included packaging design and visitor centre promotion.
Over the years, we have repackaged their complete range of mainstream products – 10, 12 and 15 year old, plus the 105 Cask Strength. We attended Vinexpo in Bordeaux - at that time the world’s biggest drinks exhibition - to launch the rebranded products.
We have also produced a corporate brochure in several languages for their agents around the world and produced a unique collectors' range, including a series of illustrations by three artists.
