As a division of A&J Robertson (Granite) Ltd, Robertson Fireplaces is one of Mearns & Gill’s longest established clients and we have worked with them for many years on their advertising scheduling and creative.
Recently, we undertook the task of redeveloping the business’s website. Following the move of A&J Robertson to a brand new purpose built facility, Robertson Fireplaces’ move to a more central location and a subsequent rebrand, Robertson Fireplaces looked to bring their website in line with the new brand and with their aspirations for growing the business further.
Working with Robertson Fireplaces, we designed and built an entirely new website comprising a fully responsive and clean design, improved user experience with simple navigation and an easy-to-use content management system (CMS) for populating products and making changes.
We began the process with an in-depth review of the current site, monitoring the on-page user experience through heatmapping and click mapping systems, as well as reviewing general website performance through the analytics. We then took these findings and used them to inform the build of the website’s frontend, developing a full responsive website which functions optimally on all screen sizes, viewports and devices.
The final product is a clean, simple-to-use website which gets its visitors to the products as a priority so that they can browse Robertson Fireplaces’ wide selection of product with ease.
