Buchan Offshore Wind
The Floating Energy Allyance secured the rights to develop a major floating wind farm through the ScotWind leasing round, which concluded in January of this year. The project was to be named Buchan Offshore Wind and our team were tasked with creating a strong brand and visual identity that reflects the importance and scale of the project.

Brand Design
We began this branding project by referencing the beautiful range of colours found in the floating wind turbine imagery, supplied by Buchan Offshore Wind. The colours are tonally similar to each the parent companies, giving a nod to where Buchan Offshore Wind has come from, and also combine to create a vibrant green, providing a strong link to the environment and clean energy.


The primary logo design uses the B in Buchan as a 3 to reference the three companies that came together to make up Buchan Offshore Wind. This is combined with a subtle repeating wave to represent the 'offshore wind' element of the company.

The subtle wave used within the primary logo is effective on its own as a logo mark. This was applied across various stationary & livery, altering scale to create maximum impact.
