We supported Clan Cancer Support to create a new brand that would properly reflect Clan as an organisation today. The objectives were to create a new, bolder look for the organisation’s core identity without losing the association to the existing brand.

Brand Logo
Our rebranding work started with updating the company name to a simpler version using a stronger colour and font to make the brand stand out.
For a logo to accompany the organisation’s name the inspiration came from three elements distinct to the nature of Clan. Firstly, putting the client at the centre of the organisation, showing that the support is built around their individual circumstances rather than applying a one-size-fits-all package. Secondly, the caring tone that is synonymous with Clan’s support services (‘keeping the hug’). And thirdly, the fact that Clan’s services and support are delivered within thev local community.

Within the new brand identity, we also introduced some graphical devices to be used when advertising CLAN events

The flexibility of the new brand identity is demonstrated in examples of how the brand can be executed both physically & digitally.







Messaging
The final part of the re-brand for CLAN was to develop some new messaging / taglines that would communicate how CLAN build its support services around the individual circumstances pertaining to each client. Messaging that not only conveyed community and support but also reiterated the idea that this support will be provided at a pace that the patient is comfortable with.
The messaging consisted of a primary tagline and four repurposed secondary messages in relation to some of CLAN’s key service offerings:
