Internal podcasts are fast becoming a powerful way for organisations to connect with their teams, especially across departments, locations, or time zones. Whether it’s leadership sharing key messages, teams introducing themselves, or culture stories being brought to life, podcasts offer a human, engaging, and flexible solution.

At Mearns & Gill, we’ve supported clients in creating internal podcasts that are simple to produce yet incredibly effective in building connection and trust across the business.

  • Relatable and authentic – Podcasts allow voices to be heard, literally. It’s a personal and informal way to build trust and familiarity within teams.
  • Flexible to schedule – Hosts and guests can record in person or remotely, making it easy to work around availability, no matter the location.
  • Ideal for global teams – With audio-only formats, leaders or staff can dial in from anywhere, removing geographical barriers.
  • Low time commitment, high impact – Episodes can be short and focused, making them easy for staff to listen to during a commute, coffee break, or between meetings.
  • Secure and private – Podcasts can be shared internally via secure platforms, ideal for company-only content.

We recently supported  Expro, a global energy services company, with an internal podcast series to help employees around the world better get to know the people across the business. The setup was refreshingly simple:

  • Hosted by a member of the Expro marketing team in our  Podcast Room in Aberdeen
  • Employees of varying levels and departments joined  via Zoom from different global locations
  • Audio-only format
  • Distributed internally to staff

This flexible hybrid approach worked brilliantly around busy diaries and different time zones. It also showed just how easy it is to create professional internal podcasts with minimal effort, while delivering real value to internal communication and engagement.

Whether you’re looking to share leadership stories, introduce new starters, or build culture through conversation, we’re here to help you make it happen, simply, professionally, and with purpose.
