Creative marketing agency Mearns & Gill has made a commitment to reduce emissions and make a positive impact on the environment by attaining carbon neutral status. Local company, Carbon-Zero, were contracted to help review and calculate the business' carbon emissions. Carbon-Zero, based in Aberdeen, are experts in carbon accounting for businesses, products, services, and projects, and help businesses on their journey to Net Zero.
After a thorough evaluation of all business activities within the specified period, Mearns & Gill were issued with a report detailing all their carbon emissions for the year along with suggestions on how to reduce emissions in the future. The aim was always to offset the emissions for the year in order to achieve carbon neutrality, so carbon credits have been purchased in support of the Mozambique Community Handpump Project.
Mearns & Gill intends to continue to monitor emissions each year, implement ways to try and reduce emissions, and continue to offset where emissions cannot be cut entirely. This is a permanent commitment moving forward for Mearns & Gill.
